A Quiet Crossroad

Written: Ally Bernales

She stands at the edge of her journey, so long,
Where laughter once carried her spirit along.
Her books now are closed, her papers set free,
Yet the future looms vast—an unmapped sea.

The weight of the world is a shadow she wears,
A crown of expectations, of whispered prayers.
Dreams she once cradled now flicker and fade,
Plans turn to ashes, once brightly displayed.

She whispers, “Where do I go from here?”
With trembling hands and a heart full of fear.
The spark that once lit her is lost in the haze,
Of endless tomorrows, uncharted days.

Yet listen, dear girl, to the softest of winds,
The whispers of hope that quietly begins.
Each step is a start, no matter how small,
Each stumble, a lesson—worth it all.

The world may feel heavy, the path unclear,
But courage is born in moments of fear.
You need not know it all today,
Just take one step, and find your way.

For within you still burns a resilient light,
Though hidden now, it will reignite.
And life will unfold in its own gentle art—
For every end is another start.
